Who builds this
Forecandle is built and run from Cyprus by the Forecandle team. We designed it, we write it, we deploy it and we answer the support mail — there is no tier-one queue and no chatbot in front of it. Every uncomfortable decision on this site, including the ones on the Risk Disclosure, was made by the people who have to live with it. Reach us at support@forecandle.com.
The reason to trust any of this is not that we say so. It is that the product is built so you can check:
- We publish what our own scores were worth. Every scored headline books its own price measurements, a finalized one can never be edited or deleted, and the calibration ledger publishes what they found — including the measurements that could not be taken and the classes of event where the study found no edge at all. Right now that ledger says the impact score is a good sorting instrument and not a forecast of how far price moves, so that is what we sell it as.
- No capital sits behind any call. What we publish is measured history of a model's output, not investment results. Fees, funding and slippage are excluded, and we say so wherever a number appears rather than only in the small print.
- We never touch your money. Forecandle holds no funds, executes no orders, has no custody and no trading permissions. The positions panel is a journal you fill in yourself. There is nothing here that can move your capital, by design and not by omission.
- The analysis is impersonal, on purpose. Every subscriber sees the same read at the same moment. We do not tailor calls to individuals, and the AI desk cannot see your positions or your balance — it has no route to them at all. That is a deliberate architectural limit, not a missing feature.
- The method is written down. How events are scored, what the liquidation heatmap models rather than measures, and where the data is thin are all documented in the product, on the page where the number appears.
Why it exists
Two kinds of tool exist for reacting to news. Institutions buy terminals that cost tens of thousands a year and tell them, within seconds, that a headline matters and which markets care. Everyone else gets a feed: a wall of undifferentiated posts, most of it noise, with no notion of scale, no link to positioning, and no memory of what happened the last time something similar broke.
Forecandle exists to close that gap at a retail price. Not another news reader, and not another signals group — a machine that reads several thousand items a day so you read the five that move something, and shows you what the market was already doing when they landed.
What it actually does
- Ingests news, exchange feeds, economic releases and social relays continuously, deduplicates them, and scores each item for market impact.
- Clusters related reports into single stories and places them geographically, so twelve headlines about one strike read as one event.
- Puts that next to market structure: funding, open interest, realised liquidations from the venues' own forced-order streams, and a modelled liquidation heatmap that says on its face that it is a model.
- Tracks live prediction-market odds on the same stories.
- Measures what price did after every scored headline, at four horizons, and publishes the results with their denominators — the measurements that could not be taken included.
- Lets you point a single alert rule at news impact, price, funding and liquidation cascades at once, and delivers it in-app, by push, or by email.
- Exposes all of it through a public API where commercial use is allowed on the free tier, which is not the norm in this category.
How young it is
That is why the ledger is public and free rather than a marketing number: it will only be worth something once it is long, and the only way to earn that is to publish it from the start, including the windows where it says our scores told you nothing. If you want the caveats in full, they are in the Risk Disclosure.
How it makes money
Two lines, both stated plainly. Subscriptions: Pro unlocks the paid capabilities listed on the pricing page; the console, the event feed, the heatmap and the whole calibration ledger stay free. Exchange referrals:if you open an exchange account through a "Trade …" link here and trade, the exchange pays us a share of its fee. That costs you nothing, it is disclosed in visible text beside every such link, and it never influences what the engine outputs — no exchange pays for placement, and no analysis is written to steer you toward a venue.
What we will never do
- Never delete an unflattering measurement, quietly restate a published figure, or print a number without the sample size next to it.
- Never claim the impact score predicts how far price will move. It is a triage score; the calibration page publishes exactly how well it does that job, and what it does not do.
- Never claim a modelled surface is measured data. The liquidation heatmap carries its methodology note permanently.
- Never give personalised investment advice, profile you, or send you individual calls. Forecandle publishes the same output to everyone.
- Never advertise guaranteed, risk-free or backtested returns.
- Never sell your data, and never run advertising trackers on this site.
If you catch us breaking one of those, tell us — the contact page reaches the person who wrote the code.
